I am an Az. resident and want to purchase a used motorcycle in Ca. and drive it home. Can I get a temporary moving permit so that I can drive legally between states before I register it in Az.? Anything else that I will need (besides license and insurance) to make this happen?

  1. Why?  Depending on model, etc, all CA sold bikes have the emissions equipment on them. Can't you buy the same bike in AZ, NM or TX?  Bike will run better, faster, etc without all that additional stuff on it anyway.

  2. Yes, you can.  No, that's all you need.

  3. for the situation like yours,I would like to suggest you have a look here.http://home-insurance.featured-resources...

  4. Yes, assuming you have insurance that will cover the bike, and an "M" endorsement on your AZ license, you can get a temporary moving permit to get your newly purchased bike back to AZ.  If your buying from a dealer, they can handle that for you.  If you're getting it from a private party, just go by the nearest CA DMV.
