I am an Indian ( India country, not be confused with American Indian) Presently in UK?

Question

I want to buy a GSM cell phone hand set which I can use also in INDIA when I get to India

Can anybody please give me some info on that!?

Go into the O2 shop and talk to them. They don't lock their phones to only take O2 simcards (Orange do)

They also have a wide range of phones, so should be able to advise you further

Just make sure to ask for a handset which is not SIM locked to only work with the UK carrier.

Just tell dealer before buying the set. I did the same while buying the set in US. It worked perfectly fine in India.
