  1. You should not have any problem visiting Switzerland from Ireland with a work permit for Ireland. The permit allows you to work in Ireland, but you are only traveling to Switzerland so they shouldn't require a Visa for this purpose. I know of no country that requires a Visa to visit as this would practically eradicate tourism. Call the Swiss embassy and they should be able to confirm what I've said.
