if my life has been threatened twice in less than a year by the same person do i have a right to take this to the embassy?

  1. Why the embassy, why not the police?. It's not a nationality, migration or passport issue afterall.


  2. You can certainly talk to the embassy's American Citizens Services section, but they will also tell you to go to the police, as you would, if you were in America.

  3. As Beetroot mentioned, it's really a police matter. In addition, the Embassy's hands are tied in many respects depending on how you entered Greece. If you entered using your Greek passport, you are afforded very few protections or representations by the U.S. Embassy. If you entered using your U.S. Passport, there is more they can do to help you. However, this would certainly be considered a local police matter and the Embassy would not be involved in either case.

  4. Report the threats to the embassy's consular section and the police.
