My fiance is getting deported back to venezuela and may face a 10 year ban. I don't want to be away from him and I know even if we get married it can take years to get the ban waived if we can even get it waived before the ten years are up. anyway i am a light skined english speaking american, I am not hispanic at all. My fiances family will be with me there so i won't be alone and i will be with him...do you think its safe? what are major differences between here and the US?

  1. If you go to Venzuela for more than 90 days , you will need to apply for the appropriate visa...and I am sure you will need to show proof of income for that.  See 1st site below and read under "Entry Requirements."  In Fact...read the whole page carefully.  Do NOT get married soon...you will experience culture shock...and need plenty of time to think...you would be giving up your life in your own country.  Be very sure of being happy in Venezuela before taking that step. You could go visit and give your self time.  Getting a work visa will probably be very difficult and jobs pay very little.  Just go very slowly in making your decision.

  2. I would go any change of experience enriches us. besides if you hate it you can always come home!

  3. Wow! I am very impressed by your story since you guys are still not married and with that you don't want to be separated from him. He must be very proud of you! (if not, then he should! Moving to another country for love takes courage. Go girl!).

I believed your experience there will be good. It will enrich you'll life! And if things don't work out (I hope no!) you can always come back home. :)

  4. Venezuela isn't a nice country for american people, the economy is worser than american economy... What do you think about Canada... It is easier than your fianceé could get an american visa...

  5. venezuelan money is not much. Venezuela and US have tensions. Try to learn Spanish as soon as possible if you decide to go.

    is a 180 degrees change
