I am an australian citizen who wants to go to uni in france. Will I need a visa?

Will it be possible for me to stay there? If it helps I have lived in England for 1 1/2 yrs with my family, because my mother's great-grandma moved here from scotland when she was young, as a result we could stay for a while in Britain.
