depending on whether you want to go right into your discipline or just cover general engineering I would suggest for younger kids, you can bring in blocks (like Lego) and have them build something. For older kids you can get them to build something that will protect an egg when dropped out of various materials. You can also do an airplane folding contest. If you have more time, you can do a chemistry type of experiment. The options are endless- just think about what the message is that you want to get across to them and make sure it is not over their head.-Mechanical Engineer
