I am an indian working in malaysia for last 6 months and can i apply student visa for U.S. from here.?

i completed my engineering in 2006 august from jntu,hyderabad,india. And after my graduation, i worked in bpo for 1 year and now i am working in malaysia for the last six months i.e. from february 2008. Now i was interested to do masters in u.s. so, can i book my visa slot in malaysia and attend an interview here or i need to go to india for the same...

can anyone guide me...please

  1. You don't apply for the visa until you get accepted into a US program. They will then issue the paperwork which you can take to the Indian embassy in any country. You will need to have just the paperwork and a letter from your bank showing you have the necessary funds for school and living expenses.


  2. Since it is bit lengthy procedures and it needs a lot of documentations from your colleges in India, I am afraid you may not be able to handle all from Malaysia. But you may start; shortlisting colleges & obtaining application forms online, preparation for cracking TOEFL & GRE etc from there.
