  1. I hear Dublin is a really exciting city.  I have a friend that worked there on an exchange program and loved it.  But I think you should research both cities and decide from there based on what appeals to you, both for what you want to experience within the cities, and what's close by that you want to check out.  You will love either experience, I promise!

  2. Galway is a really small city with a population of about 30,000 people, and 25% of them are students.  So if your priority is to  party and study on the side, go for it.  Dublin has over a million people and has all the  prestigous colleges like Trinity and the Royal College of Surgeons and is a lot more expensive. So I guess the choice is yours,  serious student or fun student.

  3. Galway is fantastic fun. It has a great atmosphere that will beat any of the colleges in Dublin. I'm going to be very biased in saying this but you could also go to NUI Maynooth. It has the same small, friendly atmosphere as Galway but is only a half hour train or bus from Dublin city centre.

  4. Galway.   Dublin is no longer really an Irish city, it is an international business center with some Irish tourist attractions mixed in.  It is crowded and expensive and no place to spend your college years.  Here is a great guide to Ireland that discusses Galway and the West of Ireland extensively, as well as Irish culture and traditions.

  5. Go to Galway. Both my sisters went to Galway.

  6. If you want a loud, busy college life then Dublin would be your best choice. There is the city centre and lots of offers in clubs and stuff for students (not sure if your in2 that).

Galway is a much more relaxed, quiet area.
