I am an ngo workling for the welfare of poor children education and welfare. Where shall I get funds? please?

At present we are running a residential school for 100 Scheduled Caste children belonging to poor and assetless. This program wasw funded by Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerfement. Now the scheme will be closed by the end of the Financial Year 2007-08. So we are very much eagar to needs of the children. In this connection anybody will suggest or help to continue the children with us by providing food, shelter, educatiion and health facilities. Hi, personally i think that this is a great job.

My idea is that:

these children must be very skillful, so why don't do something like an open day where the whole public will be invited. ( you can make it a paying entrance). The children will be able to do shows, like dancing, singing, theater, poems.... maybe if some children are good in painting and drawing you can ask them to draw and then sell the pics with the  public. I am sure if the public is well informed that this is being done for the welfare of poor children, generous people will be numerous to come for help.
