I am angry at Giorgi Chanturia, says Vitesse Arnhem’s John van den Brom – Dutch Eredivisie news
Vitesse Arnhem manager, John van den Brom, has expressed his anger at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NEC-c40018 Nijmegen. The two sides clashed against each other at McDOS Goffertstadion on Sunday, October 16.
The young winger, who broke into the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitesse-c40905 first-team earlier this season, performed impressively on the pitch against local rivals, NEC. He scored the only goal of the match in the opening 45 minutes to guide his side to their fifth victory of the 2011/12
campaign.
However, the youngster got involved in a row with NEC’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Conboy-c20711 in the 57th minute, spoiling an otherwise impressive performance. The two players traded blows in a heated confrontation, which forced the referee to give the marching orders
to both Chanturia and Conboy.
Van den Brom revealed that he warned the young winger before the match not to lose his temper. Emotions remain one of the 18-year-old’s major weaknesses, according to the coach.
“I'm angry at Gio. Given the work we put in, he did not have to get himself into that situation. Gio's weakness is his emotion. We told him in advance to keep his emotions in check”, Van den Brom said while talking to the journalists.
The Vitesse boss said further:
“I'm angry because of Gio but the referee has given his reasons for the punishment. All you can discuss is whether it was too severe”.
The young Georgian ace, who has represented the outfit from Arnhem in all nine Eredivisie matches thus far this season, will sit out his suspension in his side’s next two matches.
The outfit from Arnhem will lock horns against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven next week in front of their home crowd before travelling to De Vijverberg Stadion a week later to take on De Graafschap.
