  1. Shaun, try breaking this down into short term, medium term and long term objectives for starters. For example in the next two to three years you may see yourself establishing yourself in the immediate role and refining and enhancing your skills, three to six years you may look at adopting a more senior role within the company and start and developing your supervisory and managment skills. From there depending on your ability and desire it could be looking at junior management within the company and getting the appropriate additional managerial training to achieve this... Good luck.

  2. Tell them you really want to go into management.  They love that stuff.

Also remember to stress how flexible you are and are open to moving around and working all kinds of hours, shifts and holidays.

  3. How about something like, " gain experience on various types (or specific types if you know them) of aircraft while improving my knowledge and skills and eventually advancing to chief mechanic or shop manager".

  4. Here is some BS that u can use. How ever the content is not my view of the company.

It has a dream since I was a child to work for Air Canada.

Air Canada prides itself with an ultra modern aircraft fleet, which continually updates as new and improved product becomes available. Air Canada is one of the world’s best airlines with regards to safety, passenger comfort and quality of service, fleet type, amenities, and a superior level of customer service that is unparalleled in the airline industry. Air Canada has incredible growth potential and endless possibilities for expanded route structure for both freighter and passenger fleets. Air Canada also instills pride in its people, and hires and trains the best and embraces the results.

I am planning my life-long career, and looking forward to having the opportunity to advance within Air Canada from a apprentice to a outstanding Engineer, and becoming a viable asset to the company.  I look forward to becoming an integral part of this elite company and vibrant team
