okay so now more in detail. basically in cross country season i overtrained (september to november). then i took plenty of time off and got back into it. all winter and spring ive been in terrible shape, felt lethargic, and not able to make my self sore (from workouts). i was tested positive for iron deficiency and my coach had me take time off because my times were sky rocketing but now my irons mostly back and i dont feel better.

any suggestions on whats wrong with me?

and also if this helps im tired a lot earlier at night

  1. Hi,

The problems that you are having are not directly related with running. It would appear to me that you have to continue to seek guidance from your doctor. Your coach is not in the position to advice you because he may not have direct experience with your condition.

You need to rest and recover completely before resuming training. The fact that you over-trained and now are starting back before you are not fully recovered tells me that you are highly motivated but overly impatient. You will need to get a handle on your enthusiasm so that it serves you - not the other way around.

    Good luck (and be patient).
