I am going to Rome at the end of June, as I have signed up for a study course, and placed my deposit in. However, I was reading my literature and it said I must have a passport valid 6 months before the trip. I just got my new passport yesterday and the trip is in June and July. (not six monthes :S:S) Someone tell me there is hope???.....

  1. you have to have at least 6 months left on your passport to enter the country.  If you are going the end of June it cannot expire before the end of January 2009.  You will be fine if it is brand new.

  2. It sounds like this would apply to people who's passports are close to expiring. Most countries want you to have 6 months remaining on your passport before entering the country. If you just got your passport recently, and you are going in a couple months, I don't think this wil effect you. Most passports are valid for 5 or 10 years.

    Good luck!
