I am attending a motorcycle school...?

i was wondering if anyone can enlighten me on why i have to tape over the tail lights. I understand taking off the mirrors and turn signals but why do the brake lights need to be covered?

Mab22687 has it right. its for debris. yours when you get it wrong. and we all get it wrong. its part of the fun. and its all fun if you don't get hurt. take care.

it also stops another rider latching onto your brakelights and missing their brake point. easy mistake to make. if your travelling faster than the guy in front. believe me I know.

in case of a accident, it keeps the shattered taillight and headlights shards from going all over the track.

i assume your at a track day, wheelie school or something.  they tell you to take over the headlights so the plastic inside headlight do shatter everywhere if you crash.
