  1. Oh My.....this is normal , the cats need to be at their own

house, because a new environment will FREAK them out !

The poor animals don't know where they are and are acting

accordingly.   The one that is hiding is affected the most.

just leave food and drink in a close area { central } to where

    you think it might be.

They are very ingenious.   When my sister moved to my mums

for a short  while, her cat had gone missing and been called for

hours and  hours , her cat was later found hiding in the back of

the TV Cabinet !  Wherever you can think of , just check it out.

good luck , i hope you have actually found it.

And next time, you need to go to the house to look after them.

  2. The cats are frighten because they're in a new place they have never been before.

Make sure you have all the windows and doors closed and locked.

Try to look for her in places like behind the TV or behind or on top of book shelves. Cats like hiding in places like that.

Search each room VERY carefully, and each time you are done searching a room close the door as you leave so that the cat won't be running up in there when you are searching across the other side of the house.

    Good luck!

  3. Put food out and she will eventually come out.  My sons cat does that when he goes away and I catsit.

She hides UNDER the dresser and believe me..she is so huge I have no idea how she gets there.  She also goes into a closet and I have to leave closet doors open so she can get out...and I looked in those closets several times...but I saw her coming out so I don't know where she was hiding.

then we have a wooden accessory in the bathroom that hides the pipes.  SHE WAS BEHIND THERE!  We had to unscrew it off the wall  so she could get out.  I have no idea how she got there either.

Cats want to be safe.  When you find her..put her in a bathroom or a bedroom and make sure there are a couple boxes and some bags to hide in.  THEY love different things to hide in.  As long as their back is snuggled against something they don't think anything can get to them from behind.  My son's cat was very sick last year and I had to keep her here.  Kevin is a paraplegic and was sick too and he couldn't help her so I took her.  I had to get a big wire playpen for her and just let her whine and carry on until she felt better and it was hard.  That was the vets opinion and it was a good one.  She needed boundaries and to be left alone.

Cats know what is good for them...so believe me...she is ok.

She might have scratched back some fabric on the bottom of the box springs on a bed and is hiding in there too.

Kevin's cat is missing the whole week she is here.....I saw her twice and when I caught her I put her in a room I knew she wouldn't get out of and kept her in there with a litter box food and water.  Then I knew where she was.  They like that too...it gets familiar and she will feel safer and less stressed.

  4. My cats like to hide up in high places or under things like beds dressers. stuff lke that. but yes its normal 4 a cat 2 hide if the r in a new area.

  5. Check under and inside your bed & all furniture, check behind baths or toilets. Do you have any hidden away holes in your home that could lead outside? Maybe it squeezed through a slightly opened window or door. Look inside & behind all kitchen appliances

  6. Totally normal, don't worry.  As long as you make sure she can't get outside, I wouldn't worry abut her except to make sure that she has food, water, and a clean litter box.  Love on or play with the cats when they come to you, otherwise leave them alone until they get used to the new environment.  I also agree with the others that said it is best when possible to care for cats in their home, rather than moving them.

  7. cats don't like change, so the new environment is scary.  what you should do is leave food out for it and if you can find him bring him into a room you can close off he will feel more secure in a smaller space.  when introducing  a cat to a new environment it is best to bring them into one room and let them out in there and keep them in there till they feel comfortable.

  8. she is just scared i bet the other cats know hwere she is. she will come out when she is ready just make sure she cant get out of your house

  9. Yup.

Cats are creatures of habit.  They like being in the same place, with the same people, same smells, same food, etc.  You would have been better off leaving them at your friend's house, and going there to care for them, if that was possible.

Now that you've got them, just leave them alone, and let them come to you.  You'll probably frighten them more by hunting them down and pulling them out to play with them.  Cats are VERY good at finding hiding spots where you won't see them.  One of ours found out how to get on top of the furnace once.  He could have stayed there for days.  Another found a way into a closed room somehow.

Just make sure they have food and water and clean litter boxes, and you'll get through this.
