I was thinking about getting a Eurail pass but now I am thinking I may not need one. Is this too short a time period? Should I not go to all three cities? Is Brussels worth seeing?

  1. I think yeah, u should spend most of the time in Paris, then Amsterdam, then Brussels. like for example:

    5 days in Paris

    4 days in Amsterdam

    3 days in Brussels

    or something like that.

Ive been to all three, and that would be my guess since Paris has the most to see, well i donjt know, its up to you in the end

  2. I love all three and have been to all three many times.  I'd say go to all.  Depending on what you are into, partying or sight-seeing, etc. - you should spend different amounts of time in each.

Brussels has great architecture, food, people, bars, shopping, and there aren't as many tourists - so if you're looking for a hidden gem, Brussels is it.  (Bruges is a short train-ride away and definitely worth seeing, it is beautiful).

Amsterdam and Paris have many many well-known sights that are worth seeing, and you could spend countless days in either place.

I'd get the pass, stay flexible, and spend as much time in each place as you feel comfortable.

A big plus to Amsterdam, for me at least, was that everyone knew English - my French is decent, but I'm sometimes a little shy/tenative about using it... and it is sort of necessary to know some French in Paris and Brussels.

Have fun!  I'm jealous, I wish I could spend 12 days in those three wonderful cities!!!

  3. Brussels is worth, but I would rather spend :

    - 5 days in paris,

    - 5 days in Amsterdam

    - 2 in Brussels.

It seem better to me like that and enough to apreciate each city.
