http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 at the Oval and claimed that he is in the form of his life.
Since making his Test debut in 2007, the right-handed batsman has been in and out of the side but remained an integral part of the English limited-overs squad.
While chasing a competitive total of 252 runs at the Oval, the home team achieved the score without much trouble, thanks to half-centuries by Bopara and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Essex-c783 batsman scored 82 runs off just 85 balls with the help of
eight boundaries, before getting run-out. Bopara was named as the Player of the Match for his extra-ordinary innings.
The aggressive batsman expressed that he has been working hard on his game lately, which is paying off now. Bopara revealed that he kept things simple in the second ODI and just depended on his hand-eye coordination.
"I think I'm batting as well as I ever had. A few changes I've made over the last six months have worked for me. It was nice, I enjoyed myself. I told myself to just watch the ball and hit it. That's when I play my best," Bopara said.
Despite scoring three centuries in his Test career so far, the right-hander has so far failed to cement his place in the team. The elegant batsman played his last Test in 2011 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 but is in contention to get a recall for
the upcoming series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Eoin-Joseph-Gerard-Morgan-c56032 and Jonny Bairstow.
However, Bopara claims that he is not looking too far ahead of himself and right now he just wants to win the ODI series against the Kangaroos for the Poms.
He added, "I'm not thinking about Test cricket at the moment, we have three more games against Australia we have to win and that's all I'm concentrating on. We just have to look after what have to do in the next few days rather than
think a month ahead.”
