I am being sued for 5 yr. old credit cards. My only income is social security disability What can I do?

I've had several heart attacks and bypass surgery, diabetes, perforated colon. What will happen if they issue a judgment? I have no assets.

It won't do them any good to secure a judgment if you don't have any assets to attach.

No assets, a judgement granted, they can't touch you if your only income is social security. That's a law!

Since you have no assets, they will not be able to collect.

Go to Legal Aid in your area and have them write a letter informing them  your only income is ssd.
