caused by infection from a female infection." I called my doctors office and made an appointment to speak to my doctor tomorrow. However, I am very concerned. I should not I had a spontanous miscarriage at just over 15 weeks gestation 2 weeks ago. During the pregnancy I had alot of blood work done at differant points of the pregnancy. I have no STD's or other viral infections. However, I did have a few yeast infections. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

  1. I am a lab tech and I have no knowledge of an STD causing a blood clot.  I'd be interested to hear what the cause was if it wasn't a clotting disorder due to many various combinations within the complex process of coagulation and clot formation.

  2. DVT is deep vein thrombosis.  I can't imagine that you can "catch" that from anyone!

  3. It sounds to me like your ex is pulling your leg and simply trying to give you some grief.  There are no such STDs that can cause DVT's.  There are STDs that can impair the immune system and lead to other problems that could make a person more susceptible to DVT's however none that directly cause them.

As for the miscarriage, that is actually a fairly common thing, as terrible and tragic as it is.  Many women have miscarriages at 15+ weeks and don't even know it.  Before your second trimester you are at very high risk for miscarriages.

Talk it over with your doctor, and most of all relax.  You just suffered a great loss and now is not the time to have to deal with ex's with crazy ideas.

  4. you ex is an idiot, dvt is not caused by infection, nor is a restriction in blood flow to the brain.  he's playing on your sympathy, or just lieing to you for the h**l of it.
