I am bipolar, can I be a truck driver?

I'm taking lithium carbonate and invega 9mg. Would I get the bipolar symptoms if I get stressed out driving a truck?

  1. Bipolar disorder has nothing to do with stressing out, that's normal.  I wouldn't advertise it to my employer, but I'm bipolar and I have no problems.  Then again, I don't drive.


  2. Next time you see your doctor, ask him/her. They would be much more help, as only they know your unique situation.

  3. Yes. My Nephew is bi-polar and said that driving truck helps him because he has time alone and to think.  Good Luck

  4. Depends how bad your bipolar. It is possible.

  5. if the disorder is controlled then i dont see why it would be a problem but it would be best to check with the DVLA or someone who knows
