I started birth control 16 days ago and today I realized I was bleeding a bright redish color. I have a boyfriend whom I have been having unprotected s*x with for 3 months now but he always pulls out and we have never had a pregnancy scare before. Could it be pregnancy or is it normal to bleed when you first start using birth control?

  1. And the type of birth control you are on is....  ?

Could be the birth control "normal" activity, or it could be that that brand of birth control is not right for you, or something else.

  2. It's normal to bleed like that when you first start birth control because you body has to adjust to the pills. You might find that during other months you will end up spotting every now and then too.

  3. Is there alot? If not its just spotting, your getting used to the pills and could have break through bleeding for a few ,months.
