For example: Structural contrete is 5% and Framing is 20% of total budget so on and so forth. I am building in Central Louisiana and I am concerned about running over my budget. I dont want to get almost finished and run out of money for obivious reasons

  1. There's allot of variables in your question.

I have found there is no real set number on costs till you have your plans.these plans then give your contractors something to bid off of.

Another area of concern for me is say foundation.Lets break down some examples.

    1) 4' wall on 16" footers,average for me is $50 to $60 a lin ft plus pump.

    2) 4' wall on caissons,$60 a lin ft with void.Drilling caissons about $7 a ft,casing extra if needed plus pump.

    3) 8' wall on footers or caissons about $100 a lin ft plus drilling, pump.

As you can see there is no real way to guess until you have plans and a soils report. There is always cost pass alongs to homeowner in the other trades.

Get the basic plans, then you can always use change orders.

    Good Luck
