Okay, so my hubby and I are going to build our own house. We already have the land, since we currently live in a manufactured home with my in-laws, so we are planning to build a house. Luckily, in my family every uncle, friend, relative works in construction and knows something different, such as plumbing(father), cement(father-in-law), the tiles(uncle) basically building a house can be between all of them, and yet still hiring some more men. But is there a website where I can get more information. Or what are the steps to doing this? does it really take long? Oh and how much does it cost to hire an architecture?

  1. my dads friend had his house built about 4 years ago, there still bulding it.

thanks to george bush for the economy its gonna cost ALOT of money and time.

the process takes FOREVER and you can have lots of time restraints, money restraints, and problems along the way.

though it is a good idea its bad at the same time.

its great that you have family in construction which should make the process quicker and easier.

if you go google and search architects for your area you should find some.

    good luck!
