i am buying it to text and go on the internet dont want another phone or at&t going to charge me every time I sign on aim or go on the internet

It's not the phone you buy, but the service you sign up for. AT&T offers a choice to add unlimited data plan (internet), unlimited texts, etc.

the internet is NOT free on the phone if you want to have internet access the package will be $30 per month for unlimited data.

With this phone you can add up alot of data charges quick... its safest to get the package.
