  1. Get an Oscar. They are smart, have a playful personality, easy to care for, and will eat just about anything. Get a baby one and watch him grow up to a foot long in a tank that size. I used to hand feed my oscar and he would do a little dance every time he saw me coming close to the tank. My oscar was the best fish I have ever owned, and I have raised dozens of different species.

I do suggest you read as much as possible about the oscar before you buy one to make sure he is right for you. But from the sound of it, the oscar is what you are looking for!

  2. okay...if you want personality you should go for cichlids. They will follow your finger, swim circles around stuff, chase each other and they even carry rocks around in their mouths like it's a possesion, fighting over it if anyone trys to steal it. That being said I'll get down to the nitty gritty.Lake Malawi cichlids will be perfect for your size tank, their size ranges from 4-8 inches as an adult so I don't recommend putting anymore than ten in that tank. Plus they grow quickly so you can buy juveniles at around 2 inches and expect them to be an adult before a years up. Juveniles usually cost about 8 or 9 dollars versus 20-40 for an adult so it'll save you some money. You should invest in some african root and different types of stone for the tank. Stack the stones to create caves as these are cave dwelling fish. Also you should try to either create a male only tank or a even male female tank. One female and many males will cause them to fight over her, which could lead to them killing one another. A lid is required for these fish. They WILL jump out. Lastly here's a list of stuff you will need to buy:

    power filter

    heater

    fluorescent light bulb

    Air pump

    gravel

Some sort of cave or material to create one

    optional:

bubblewand (they will play in the bubbles)

    background

  3. try many small colourfull fishs like neons or guppies those make a nice colourful rainbow

  4. tetras, zebra danios, these are schooling fish and fun to watch.

I absolutely love mollies because they have personality and both of my dalmation mollies actually swam over to me when they saw me.

Cory catfish are great, they help eat some algae and help clean the tank although they aren't the most effective tank cleaners but they are pretty and great bottom feeders to watch.

Sunburst platys are pretty too and are pretty active.

  5. if you want a singular fish.. piranhas are NOT for you..

unless you want it to just sit in the corner hiding untill you feed it then shoot back in the corner.. get a 75+ and at least 3-4 of them

a 60 gallon hat is that a 36''x18''x22''  sadly that simply isn't long enough for most large fish..

you could get something like a severum or a jack dempsey maybe with a small school of giant danios or tiger barbs.. but the foot print isn't conducive with bigger fish

a 75 would be a much better choice.. only 15 more gallons but it's a foot longer you could get silver dollars, leoprinus, an oscar, other large cichlids (green terrot, red devil, veija, etc) or that pack of piranhas..

  6. ok fish that get big ok

    1-red tail black shark

    3-pictus catfish

    1-common pleco

    6-Red Line Barbs

ok all these fish get about 6 -7 inches each

the pleco get more then 18inches

bottom feeders top feeders middles feeders and a cleaner fish
