yes, but it may be cheaper to get a new generator. But check the generator, it may have an easier way to switch to 240, perhaps by changing some jumpers.

It may be even cheaper and simpler in the long run to buy a step-up transformer: 110 - 240V.  Make sure that the power rating of the transformer is adequate for the loads you are using.
