  1. It's not terrible at all. In fact, I imagine it's only oxidation from being in the water constantly through the season. There are products out there that can clean the hull. If it's fiberglass, a simple scouring pad will do the trick. Have fun!

  2. Rust color comes from the water in your area. It can be removed with toilet bowl cleaner and not affect the gel coat finish on your boat. Apply a good boat wax after cleaning.

In my area, swfla, boats that are to remain in the water 24/7 are bottom painted. This procedure best applied by a professional and prevents barnacle build-up on the bottom.

West Marine Stores in your area, sell products to handle your discoloration..dave

  3. If this an aluminium boat, no problem.

If this is a fibreglass boat...maybe. Like the others said, it's probably just a water stain.

If you are really worried about it, you can have a "survey" done on it.

Some boats can go punky, with a type of water rot. If this is the case, you would have to remove and replace the fibreglass sections that are rotten.

    It can be costly.

  4. you can repaint it simply, as i did...

  5. No
