I am buying a electric scooter and want to know are the ilithium batteries safe?

i am worried about using it im my scooter i was told if i over charge it it can explode

  1. Lithium batteries are not known to explode in a fireball that blows your legs off. They simply catch fire and you would have plenty of time to get off the scooter.

    Ask about the battery management and charging systems included with the batteries before you buy. If they are charged correctly they will not catch fire. But it's up to the manufacturer to design a safe charge system so make sure it comes with a warranty.

    Also, newer type lithium -polymer batteries are much safer and not as dependent on complicated charging systems.


  2. Yes. just make sure you properly dispose of them when they die.
