  1. BUY A DIFFERENT BOAT  .. there are plenty of boats out there that have reverse and are much safer to operate than a high powered boat that has no neutral and is missing a reverse gear ----------- this is not....... the boat for you  and you will not be happy and you will have wasted your $$'s __________ what are you going to do when you have raced to the other side of the lake and hit the shore ...... lots of boats run fast and are much safer than your 1st pick ....  good luck if you buy that rig ...

  2. Sounds like you've gotten some good advise - forget this piece of garbage!

  3. No...

just turn though! Less parts to break.

  4. very unusual not to have reverse on any boat, speed boat through to major chargo ship boats ,   Sounds like the boat you are looking at is a direct crank driven inboard which run a shaft directly from the crank of the motor to the prop, this can be a good thing if it is raw power off the mark but does not leave much room for driver error . More the type of boat for a full time racer not a weekender, The engine of a boat like this is normally not a small block engine such as the 308 they normally run big block Chev's like a blown 454 or larger .  If you are looking for a easy boat to drive this type of boat would not be suitable , I wouldn't rush into buying a speed boat they are hard to drive pending on hull shape and horse power and small error's can turn to serious injury real fast . Try going to your local lake and talk to some boater's
