  1. if you don't have to register and tital your scooter then you can change the color, if your state does require a tital and registration, you should keep your scooter the orig. color, I have a 250 scooter that is orange, and I love it.

that should do you for paint. just make sure you sand the plastic a bit before applying the paint, use a really fine grit sand paper, just to take the 'shine' off it.. it'll help the paint adhere. use a tact cloth or similar to wipe it down thoroughly after sanding before you actually start painting.

  4. remove the panels, write on the back of each one as you take it off what it is, so you can put it back where it came from! Sharpie like marker will work.

Lightly sand the painted finish, steel wool will do the job too. All you want is to get the shine off, so it will hold the new paint. Use a GOOD paint meant for plastic, Krylon is a good one to use. Spray a light coat to all the surfaces you want painted. WAIT for the full time the label tells you to before doing another coat. Keep adding coats, if you do a light one the first time it need not really look like everything is changed in color, additional coats will take care of any weakly covered areas. three or four coats will be enough. DO not wax it for about 8 weeks. You will make the new paint pucker like an orange peel...
