02 maxima. good car. reliable. pretty good gas milage.

Nissan maxima is more sporty, stylish for a teenager or someone who wants to look "cool"

the Avalon is more of a luxury type vehicle, very smooth ride and has nice options, good car

i would never look at the Beetle tho, not my top of car and repairs are pretty annoying that car as well

I think overall the maxima is the car you want to get, the stylish look that goes along with cheap repairs and longest lasting of the 3.

the Toyota is the most reliable

the maxima is great except for the large turning circle and torque steer under heavy acceleration.

the VW is very unreliable, if you want a VW buy a 08 or wait for the VW jetta TDI est. 40 to 60 mpg

Toyota Avalon, much better build vehicle,  less expensive on repair and parts.  I have 2 avalon, maintenance free and very very good car.

I don't know but when I bought my used car I consulted Consumer Reports for Used cars. And I checked the CarFax reports on the car to see what car's history is. The car I bought was recommend by  Consumer Reports .  The book is available at the bookstore or at your local library. It was a big help to me.
