  1. u could ask people to dress in costumes (wicked witch Glinda Dorothy Toto munchkins tin man lion scarecrow flying monkeys)

in the backround have a boom box playing songs from the "The Wizard of Oz" "Wicked" and "The Wiz".

have a table loaded w/ lotsa food like popcorn chips hot dogs hamburgers pizza cupcakes etc etc

u could have a boy/girl party w/ dancing and stuff

for a dj,, thats pretty expensive, so i would recommend paying a family member or family friend to play song for minimum wage!

for banquet halls, u could rent some place like a room in a hotel if u have a club that u belong to (for ex. i belong to "The Country Club" that would be a great place. u could even have it in ur school gym.

    activities----make em ur own.

    hope this helps!

  2. Your idea of an inexpensive party and mine are totally different.  You include renting a hall, paying a DJ and catering in food.

My ideas would include do it in my own house/backyard, putting a bunch of CD's on the boom box disc changer, and buying a bunch of appetizers at the Sam's Club Warehouse.
