I am confused about the 360?

Question

My X-Box 360 had the red lights flash. Anyway I called and got some B.S. from microsoft. I turned it back on(after they told me it was just a temp thing) and the game loaded halfway up and the lights came on again. It was late(the line was closed) So I go to call in the morning and my little cousin is playing it without a problem. What is the deal with this? It was okay after like 7 hours. I thought once it got the lights it was done for.

but ya for someppl red lights come an go because over heating is it in a closed place? like enternement system door shut? anmd microsoft knows this but tell them its broke and get it repaired and get new system

either overheated or a/v cable was not properly inserted
