I am connecting dish network to my projector....?

I am connecting my Dish Network HD reciever to my Dell HD projector. I am using a 25' HDMI to DVI cable, then adapting the DVI to VGA. It's not getting the signal (not working), anyone know why? Thanks for the suggestions....

Will not work because of HDCP and other signal issues.

I suggest that you get a Component to VGA adapter and go that way.

I'm not absolutely positive but I don't think that will work since VGA is analog I think.  What I do is run component from the source to the pj and then use a Component to VGA adapter cable.
