I am considering Rockhampton Queensland my next dwelling and would like to know if public transport is viable?

Migrating to Regional Queensland Australia and is considering to settle in the Rockhampton area because of skill work related. I do not know anybody in the place and if you can help, i would really appreciate it...

  1. It is a small city with public transport like buses and taxis but does not have a subway. There are rail links to other centres but not like the major cities where you have a subway to take you to your work and back home. If your future work is outside the city or on the outskirts you will need to check the bus routes or have your own car.


  2. Don't rely on public transport. Bus service is only available in 1 hour intervals. Small n clean town... but not much to do or go anywhere if u don't have ur own vehicle.

    Apart from the tourism aspect there is really nowhere to go locally anyway, and you can walk or ride a bike to any employment, in the main town, otherwise you would have to buy a car.
