  1. OMG YES. Ours is amazing. The saltwater solution is not nearly as harsh on your hair, skin, and eyes especially, as compared to the chlorine. It doesn't dry out your hair or skin as bad as chlorine and it doesn't irratate your eyes to open them underwater. Hope this helped. PEACE & LOVE

  2. YES!!!..its really good.

the country club i swim at has this kind of system and it's very safe and doesn't dry your hair out as bad as tha chlorine does, and also you won't have the awful smell of chlorine to deal with and also and lastly the burning of the eyes.no more......GET IT AND ENJOY!!!

  3. Technically a salt water system is still producing chlorine.  Think of it this way - salt is sodium chloride.  A salt generator for your pool separates these ions so that the sodium and chlorine separate.  However, they rejoin back together and keep going like that in a cycle.  This is why with salt water systems you don't need to add chlorine and rarely have to add more salt during the season.

Saltwater is a good system.  It makes the water softer, has no chlorine odors, and it's generally easier to take care of than chlorine pools - you have to use algaecide less often, you have less problems with your pH, you don't have to constantly add chlorine to it.  You add maybe 6 or 8 bags at the start-up, and then for the rest of the season you may just have to top off the pool with a bag or two, so overall it's cheaper than regular chlorine pools.

But there are some negatives to it.  I work in a pool store and encounter people with problems with their saltwater systems all the time.  The saltwater systems use a digital reading and sometimes people have trouble working these machines/understanding the readings it is giving.  If you have your own septic tank (usually you will if you live outside of the city) then the salt water might be harmful to your septic tank.  You would want to consult experts before trying it, in that case.  Also, if you put too much salt in then you will taste and smell like salt instead of chlorine.

But overall, salt is a good system.  Less maintenance, less cost, nicer water quality.  Definitely worth the investment.
