We have been thinking about relocating to eastern Canada from the US. Problem is my husband is disabled and on social security. I work full time. Would his disability prevent us from living in Canada?

  1. Not really, I am disabled and there are good facilities up here, you best idea is to check with the Social Security Agency in the US and see if relocating to Canada his benefits will continue to be paid, for those here your have to be a citizen and have all the doctors and document done, like a retired person, if he is receiving benefit due to his disability then they may still be paid outside the US.

I would call the agency, even say your going to Canada to be with a relative, and see what there responce is and if the benefits will remain available to you if you reside out of the country, that may make the decision for you right there.
