i have enough points apart from this factor. i am unsure whether this is classed a a severe medical condition.

"Severe medical condition" is anything which requires special care, on-going care, etc.  This stops you from being eligible for immigration anywhere.  No country wants to risk an immigrant or dependent becoming dependent on public funds, taxpayer-paid services, charity, etc.
