I am crocheting a granny square afgan, and so it should be square. It is almost square, but kinda hour glass

I am using a double crochet X 3, with a single chain inbetween each shell. On the corners, I do double crochet X 3, then chain 3 and then double crochet X 3. My afgan is beautiful, just not a perfect sqare, it kind of looks like the stitches may be tigter on the sides than in the corners, however...I don't think they are. Any help? Thank in advance for all your help!

If you want it to be sq, loosen up your stitches on the sides. Switch to a larger hook just on the sides if you need to.
