I am crossing into Mexico from McAllen, TX by bus?

Will the bus stop at immigration at the border so I can obtain my FMT visa?

I just did this a few weeks ago, but i live in Mexico and have an FM3 so never thought anything about it.  I was the only American on the bus...I doubt that bus drivers think anything of it.  Best thing i can think of is to get one at the nearest consulate before leaving home...or , if you have some time in McAllen, at the consulate in Mc Allen.  See site below.

Make sure you tell your bus driver that you need to do this.  They probably will stop but in most cases they don't need to so they may not.

yes, usually most bus companies will stop at the border and wait for anyone needing to fill out the necessary paperwork to enter Mexico legally.  however, if you cross in the after midnight hours, the bank at the border may be closed, the will let you though, however when you get to your destination, make sure to find one of the banks stated on the paperwork and pay the fee.  Trust me!  They will be looking for that seal on your way back....
