Need some help with 2 of our ports. San Juan (only at port from 3pm until 10pm. I am looking for any suggestion for this short stop. The second port is Philipsburg, St.Maartens where we have about 6 hours.

Any comments on R.C. Liberty of the seas??

Thanks

Schmud

  1. Go to http://www.cruisecritic.com/

Read the boards and ask questions. Loads of cruise advice there.

  2. Awesome! I love cruising! of i am from Puerto Rico and ive also cruised there and i know there is not much time in Puerto Rico so what we did was found a local restaurant and we had a nice lunch then it was time to get back on the boat, when you get on the island there is things to do near the boat and there is also taxies that will take you and have you back on time! Ive been to St Thomas not St. Martens  but also there are people waiting for you as soon as you are off the boat to take you. we went on an Island tour which was AMAZING! the people know you have to be back in a certen amount of time so dont worry about that well have a AWESOME time. ohh and i traveled carnival not RC. but herd there really nice, and travled with my 1 1/2 year old daughtrer and hubby.

  3. I just went on that same cruise ship last October and stopped at the same places. My entire family went. My husband and his parents came and so did my parents. My yougner brother who is 17 went and my younger cousin who is 15 or 16 also went.

Puerto Rico didn't have much...we walked around the city and up to the fort and looked around. I thought it was fun. I may not go back, so I wanted to atleast walk around.

I LOVED st.Maarten. We did an excursion at that port. If you look it up, it is called the "4 x 4 Tour" or something. It is a jeep wrangler excursion that takes you all the way around the island. You see the French and Dutch side. Stop at two beaches (including Orient Beach) and in Marigot for a little shopping. You and the other people signed up are in yellow/gold jeeps and the guide is in a charcoal colored one, so you don't loose him. You need atleast one person to drive (they say they want someone 21 or up). It was so much fun! I highly suggest that one. My brother and cousin that are around the same age as your kids loved it!

The ship is amazing! You will feel overwhelmed!
