  1. Do you know how many operations are performed everyday? A lot! I bet not even 1% of those end up in death. You have nothing to worry about. Ask them to put you under with the mask before giving you an IV. They should have no problems with that.

  2. I am a powerful psychic. You are not going to die and in fact will be much better. Quit worrying. It interferes with the bodies healing process.

  3. Calm down!  Every thing will work out OK!  Surgery is frightening for every one, but hundreds of thousands of surgeries are done daily and 99.9% come out just fine.  The people that have to worry are the very, very young (babies, toddlers) and the very, very old.  At 15, you'll be just fine!

  4. Sweetheart, you have to calm down.  The more upset you get, the sicker you will make yourself.  Take a few deep breathes, drink some water and try watching TV to get your mind off it.  You'll be fine.  The doctors at the hospital are professionals and would not let anything bad happen to you!

  5. Don't worry God is with you.! What kind of surgery?

  6. the doctor shoudl reasure you before you go ahead with the sugery if the sugery is seriouse then you have every rgiht to be anxcious but you probibly have nothing to worrie about

    good luck

  7. Does your doctor know you feel like this?  He/she should so they can calm you down.  Talk to your parents, they care about your safety and well being.

If I knew what you were going to have done I could help with a better answer.

Just know that you will be OK and having an operation is nothing like it used to be.  The doctors know of easier ways to do surgery if its abdominal.

I will say a prayer for you.  I have had many surgeries, and the worst thing that happened was constipation afterwards which is a side effect of analgesics (pain medication). But they can give you a stool softner for that.

Really the more calm you are, the better out come of your operation.  Take some deep breathes.

  8. All the needle does is take ur blood chill out. If that was a way to kill people there wouldn't be anymore humans.

  9. Okay, calm down. Shhh. It's gonna be okay.

I freaked out too. I was 14 and having an operation. I'm having another one in a few months. I'm 15 now. These were the thoughts going through my head while at the hospital:

    "The needles gonna hurt!!!!"

"OMG I don't wanna do this!!!!"

"What if I don't wake up!!!!"

"What if the doctor puts too much anesthesia on!!!!"

    And many others.

While there's no real answer to your question, my advice to you is to  try any relaxation techniques you can think of. Deep breathing, yoga, etc...until tomorrow morning in the hospital room. See, I didn't stop freaking out, so they ended up sticking me an additional time with some mild sedative.

Good Luck, Email me if you need anything.

  10. Getting this upset is not going to help you, people go through cancer treatments every day, they vomit and loose hair,  you will be fine, talk to your parents and get some hugs

your only having a operation, chill!

  11. im sorry that youre so worried.  is it very serious surgery?  im sure you'll be fine. try talking to your parents about your concerns.  maybe they can help you with your worries or try to find someone else to do the operation.

  12. don't worry =] won't they make you fall asleep? yess they will! so don't worry and you  won't even see the needles and you won't die =]

  13. may i ask what your operation is? i work in surgery.

  14. sweetie..relax... it'll be okay.. i'm not sure what type of operation you are getting but they are professionals and have gone to school for several years and should know what they are doing.... also they have most likely have done that particular surgery several times before.  It is natural to be scared but more than likely for an operation they will put u to sleep.. ive had that happen to me before and really you have no idea whatis going on and it does not hurt a bit while it is being done... and if you are awke i am sure they will give you plenty of drugs to make the pain go away... i had oral surgery on my mouth when i was 15 and was awke and actually enjoyed it... it was such a weird experience lol.. just afterwrds you feel pain.. but not durring....good luck... I will pray for you
