i AM TRYING TO HOOKUP MY SURROUND TO MY COMPUTER i JUST NEED TO KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO?

  1. for the best audio you can have if you have the correct sound card with let say optical or coaxial digital output then you can connect it to a surround audio receiver.

    or you need a miniplug to rca cable like the one for the ipod

    but that just will sound stereo no surround you need a digital connection and a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound card for that.


  2. Sure is. you need a Y jack from the back of your comp to RCA jacks run to an input on your stereo and then select that input. I bought the Y jack at Walmart for a couple of bucks.
