  1. That depends on what the laws are where you live.

  2. Homeschooling can be completed anywhere but Germany (it's illegal there for any reason), but your diploma would be awarded by your parents.  Most likely, your school would not award your senior year credits if they were achieved through homeschooling.

However, a homeschool diploma is every bit as legit as one from a classroom school, and you can take an even wider range of classes.  It will also go with you wherever you go, so you don't have to worry about things like starting off in a new school (in a new country, at that) or credits lining up between the US and Europe.

Short answer: yes, you can.  Long answer: you and your parents will be responsible for coursework, grading, and record keeping - but it's completely doable.

  3. Yes, except Germany as another poster said. Though I know there are homeschoolers in Germany, they just aren't legal.

If you want to study overseas and are currently in traditional school, why not do an international exchange program for your senior year? This would allow you very new learning experiences while making it possible to get a traditional HS diploma.
