I am currently having BIG problems...

Question

I have two gerbils..Neil and Bob...or is that just what they do?

Anyway, Neil keeps pooping on Bob. Bob lays there and actually opens his mouth!!! I don't mind, but they do not clean themselves up. I do not like having poopy gerbils walking around. Should I put them in separate cages? Or let them continue their p**p festivities?

put a brown bag over them and shut them up like you should

This sounds really strange.

Does Bob like any of the food you give him? Does he eat and drink daily? Do you feed them enough? He could be hungry!

I believe this is fine, but if it really bothers you, then I would really seperate them! We wouldn't want you unhappy!

If it bothers you that much, separate them.

Animal tend to eat their own p**p when they are not getting the proper diet and nutrition. Change the food you are feeding them and see if the behavior goes away.

But them in separate cages and if they start to roll around in there own p**p i would clean them whenever necessary  becoz having p**p on hamsters gerbils or even guinea pigs will become sick  and eventually get a disease be coverd with p**p and eating it try to solve thisprobleme by cleaning them and their cage constantly

Yeah...separate them. I wouldn't want one of my gerbils eating s**t.
