I am currently taking topamax 50 mg twice a day for Migraines headaches. Been working great for 6 months.?

But now I just started getting headaches as much as I did before I started it. Is it possible my body has gotten used to the medicine? Can my doctor up this dose? Will this help or will he have to keep upping the dose every so often. Should I stop it and try another medicine for my migraines?
