I am currently using windows media player 11. but when i play this .avi file the play speed is slow.?

I'm currently using windows media player 11, but when i play that .avi file, the play speed is kinda slow(slow motion). but in vlc media player its normal. in nero show time, and windows media center, also the play speed is slow.

i want to play it in windows media player, but in normal speed. how can i resolve this?

Simple answer. Check your installed codec. Windows AVI comes in varieties of codec during playback, missing codec is one of the factor that may caused slow playback. Use tools like GSpot or Mediainfo to check and verify installed codec in your PC. Any missing codecs might be the source of the problem and caused your movie file plays at slower rate, skipping all frames playback. Try installing codec like Klite Mega Pack or Cole2k and see if it can fix the problem.

But don't rely too much with Windows Media Player since it always gave a less performance during playback and thus VLC is introduced and supports with wider range of video formats, and of course it's free.

use the converter at xilisoft.com to change the format to wmv

You need a good media player that is free and can play all video file types. With most players you have to download extra codecs, like you have to do now in wmp11.

'when you install Gomplayer, you do not have to do that.\

Just go to prefeences    -   others      select all

File Types    -   Codec

Now you can play .avi, .mov. divx,.flv and many more

Just stop using windows media center, it sucks. I use AVS DVD player, its great, I never had any problems, and its easier to use then VLC media player. Give it a try.
