I am currently writing an essay on Sweden's success in promoting sustainable transport...?

Question

I have included definitions, some theory as to how governments can create schemes to make sustainable transport successful and have talked about what Sweden has done in terms of generating demand for green cars, transport etc. Finally i have compared such scheme breifly to the UK and how the UK could learn from such developments.

What i would like to know is what people (who understand this field) think should also be included in this essay to create a strong report. Such topic is not one of my strong points.

How about the reasons why they are doing it?

Three reasons:

1. Climate change - burning fossil fuels destroys the biosphere

2. Energy security - buying fossil fuels is risky and increasingly costly (see peak oil theory)

3. Economic - while the change is expensive, living with the result won't be.
