I am deaf and just found out I have a blind child...how do I raise a blind child if I cant hear the sounds?

You should seek support from professionals.  They will help you learn what you can do to communicate with your child.  I was thinking about how Helen Keller learned to communicate by fingerspelling into the hand but then realized that that would be a bit difficult for a baby; however, deaf parents have raised blind children before.  It will be a challenge, but parenthood is always the most rewarding and challenging job a person can do.  Also, your baby can still learn sign language even without being able to see.  She or he just needs to be able to feel the movements.

raising a blind child is always going to be difficult, i would advise that you join a support group, if you don't want to go to meetings there are helpful on line support groups, they have a lot of advice

That is tough. When the baby get's more mentally mature,  you can still talk to her (or him) Because he can still hear an you can still talk. But maybe you can her/him ASL. For now, you can tell how she feels by her face exspressions, like if her lip is trembling she probably is going to cry and somethings wrong with her. If she is smiling, you can tell she content. If you see the  baby just have a frown on her face, either she mad or shes about to thow a fit.

uh...You are going to need someone who can hear to live with you. The baby learns to speak from hearing voices. Since you're deaf i assume you can't speak well. THAT will hurt the baby in the long run esp if she can't see anything.

Don't they have noise sensors that light up?  And pets that can help wake you up and alert you if there is a noise?
